Home / Automatic Doors / RUN-CHICKEN T50 Timer Not Working? Check Programming Mode and Model Generation
A RUN-CHICKEN T50 timer that ignores your programmed time can be a setup problem rather than a bad clock. The exact fix depends heavily on whether your T50 uses older screen-based programming or a newer Bluetooth drive unit.
First identify the T50 generation. Older guidance uses blue-light programming and a phone or screen held in front of the sensor, while newer Bluetooth units are programmed in the RUN-CHICKEN app. If older screen programming fails, use maximum screen brightness, disable battery saver and try another device.
Do not mix instructions from different generations. Current Bluetooth drive units use the app, while older T50 documentation includes screen-based programming.
RUN-CHICKEN’s legacy guidance says the unit must be in the blue-light programming state before the screen sequence is shown to the sensor.
A dim phone screen may not be read correctly by the programming sensor.
Battery saver can reduce display brightness and alter screen behavior, which can interfere with optical programming.
RUN-CHICKEN notes that some screens can cause issues because of refresh-rate behavior.
Check whether you are using Timer mode or Sunrise & Sunset mode and confirm any offset values.
Current RUN-CHICKEN documentation says changing or removing batteries can return supported units to factory mode. If the timer stopped working immediately afterward, see our reset-after-battery-change guide.
Yes. RUN-CHICKEN specifically mentions brightness, battery saver and screen refresh issues.
No. Use the instructions for the exact drive unit you own.
We checked RUN-CHICKEN’s current and legacy T50 programming guidance.
