Home / Automatic Doors / Omlet Autodoor Door Fault Error: Fix It in This Order
The Omlet “Door Fault” message is a broad mechanical or electrical warning, so replacing parts immediately is the wrong first move. Work through the checks from easiest to most invasive.
Start with firmware, visible obstructions and cleaning. Then verify the roosting rack position and recalibrate. If Door Fault remains, inspect the frame for warping, then the motor, gear stay, gear rack, connectors and wiring.
Omlet puts firmware first in its Door Fault sequence for Smart Autodoor owners.
Feathers, bedding, dirt or a foreign object in the track can stop the panel before it reaches the expected position.
Remove built-up debris before recalibrating. A dirty sliding surface can mimic a motor problem.
If the door is installed with Omlet coop components, make sure the rack is not interfering with travel.
Only recalibrate after the door can move freely.
A distorted frame can pinch the door. Compare spacing along the full travel path.
Omlet specifically calls out the motor, gear stay and gear rack later in the troubleshooting process.
Loose or damaged control-panel connectors and door wiring can also trigger a fault.
Once you identify the component, use a compatible replacement instead of swapping several parts at once.
No. Omlet’s official sequence checks many simpler causes before the motor.
