Home / Automatic Doors / Omlet Autodoor Connection Fails After Selecting Door Colour? Fix Provisioning
If the Omlet app fails immediately after you select your Smart Autodoor colour, the problem is usually not the colour selection itself. That step is where the control panel tries to contact Omlet’s server to complete provisioning.
Confirm the Wi-Fi network has working internet access and is not blocking the control panel from reaching Omlet’s servers. Parental controls, device restrictions or network filtering can interrupt provisioning. Temporarily disable the restriction or add the control panel to the network allow list.
The app is finalizing the Smart Autodoor setup. Omlet says an error at this point can mean the control panel could not contact its server.
A router can broadcast Wi-Fi even when the internet connection is down. Test the same network with another device.
Parental-control systems, firewall rules, guest networks and device filters can block outbound connections needed for provisioning.
If your network uses filtering, briefly disable the relevant rule and retry the setup. If that works, re-enable protection and add the control panel to the allow list.
Some guest networks intentionally isolate connected devices. Use a normal trusted network during setup if possible.
Weak signal can complicate setup. Temporarily bring the control panel closer to the access point if practical.
A successful provisioning step does not guarantee the signal is strong enough at the final installation location. If it later disconnects, use our Omlet Wi-Fi disconnect guide.
No. The colour step is simply where server provisioning occurs.
Yes. Omlet specifically mentions network restrictions and allow lists in its troubleshooting.
